WyldLife Mission Staff – Truckee, CA

Description:

Tahoe/Truckee Young Life (TTYL) is looking for a part-time Mission Staff to develop and oversee ministry for the Truckee area with a primary focus on middle school aged kids. The applicant should have an insatiable desire to lead and connect with kids. They should also be able to lead spiritually, manage time well, be teachable and be an effective team member with other staff, area Committee and the TTYL Area Director. 

This position is part-time, salaried, for ~20 hours per week.

Position reports to:

TTYL Area Director

Position Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate effective organizational and planning skills, particularly in the areas of outreach, clubs, camps and Campaigners (Bible studies)
  • Oversee and participate in personalized ministry with kids 
  • Develop and maintain donor relationships; manage personal fundraising
  • Effectively communicate to all stakeholders
  • Recruit and train volunteer leaders
  • Demonstrate effective team leadership
  • Participate in relevant prescribed and elective training to enhance spiritual maturity and performance
  • Establish effective working relationships with staff, parents, donors, committee and community members

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 1 or more years involvement with youth
  • Demonstrates Christian maturity and growing faith
  • Successful formation, training, facilitating and supporting of a team and individual team members
  • Planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating youth camps
  • Relational skills with all age groups from all demographics
  • Resource management including finances, budgets, allocated time and expendables

Education/Experience:

  • Extended education encouraged
  • YL staff and/or team leading experience is preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
