Sales Associate

A local Vitamin and Herb Shop is looking for a part time Sales Associate. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, be reliable and have some knowledge/interest in the health and wellness industry. This is a part time, long term opportunity located in Redding, CA.
Requirements of the Sales Associate:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn
  • Cash handling skills, ability to count back change, basic math skills
  • Great phone etiquette
  • Product knowledge
  • Willingness and ability to learn new tasks
  • Positive attitude
  • Good problem solving skills and good judgment
Benefits of the Sales Associate:
$16.00-$18.00 an hour, depending on experience
Part time, Monday-Friday 2-3 days a week, 10:00am-6:00pm

Responsibilities of the Sales Associate:
  • Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner
  • Responds to customers questions
  • Provides outstanding customer service
  • Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
  • Inventory and stocking shelves
  • Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records
  • Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards
  • Other duties as assigned
