Marketing Coordinator

A Local Tourism Bureau dedicated to increasing visitation to the Redding area and all the great experiences it has to offer is looking for a Marketing Coordinator. This organization offers a wide range of services to help our business members in their pursuit of success. The ideal candidate will be someone flexible and spontaneous! This is a part time, long term opportunity located in Redding, CA.

Requirements of the Marketing Coordinator:
  • Must have exceptional customer service
  • Skilled writing and editing creative marketing content
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a social environment are essential for this role, as it involves regular interaction with individuals and participation in events
  • Experience with Social Media Platforms, IG, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok preferred
  • Project coordination 
  • Active listening and good communication skills
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong time-management and organization skills
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
Benefits of the Marketing Coordinator:
$20.00-$25.00 an hour, depending on experience
Part time with flexible hours

Responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator:
  • Greets guests and provides information for phone calls, web site inquiries, members & visitors
  • Prepares & coordinates weekly enewsletter, Tuesday News
  • Develop and maintain brochures (restaurant, hotel, economic profile, etc.)
  • Support membership retention by creating marketing materials, assembling graphics, drafting copy, etc., for pre-drafted emails and mailers to communicate our message
  • Manage social media event announcements
  • Produce podcasts
  • Develop marketing plan
  • Manage & create digital event pages in Weblink & on Facebook
  • Manage & create content for our website & social media channels
  • Create templates, workflows, and documenting office procedures for my role and tasks shared by multiple roles
  • Implement new software and training of staff (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, Asana)
  • Update website and online calendar
  • Other duties as assigned
