O2 Employment Services is working with a local medical sleep center is looking for a medical receptionist. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical receptionist processes, ensuring efficient front desk operations and office operations. As the first point of contact for patients and their families, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient experiences and maintaining the smooth flow of our center. This is a full-time, long-term position located in Redding, CA.
Requirements of the Medical Receptionist:
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist and familiarity with medical billing processes is preferred
- Excellent customer service
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and billing codes
- Problem-solving skills to address patient concerns and billing discrepancies effectively
Benefits of the Medical Receptionist:
$17.00 – $22.00 an hour, depending on experience
Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities of the Medical Receptionist:
- Greet patients and their families warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the waiting area
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying personal and insurance information accurately
- Answering phones
- Making appointments
- Process insurance verification and ensure accurate insurance information is documented for billing purposes
- Adhere to patient confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive medical and personal information
- Taking consults off the fax and putting them with the patient’s chart on the doctor's desk
- Other duties as assigned
